1.What can CMS5 do?

The CMS5 is the light weight software to connect your IP cameras, NVRs with TCP port 34567. You can watch the live video 24/7 from the cameras and NVRs. If your IP camera and NVRs has on-board recording such as micro SD card or hard driver, the software can retrieve the video recording media and download it to the software. The windows version has recording feature. You can turn your windows PC computer into recorder by using the record plan with motion detection recording. With a focus on privacy, the software does all the video processing work offline without Internet connection. It does not collect any data from users.

2.What data is CMS5 collecting?

What data is CMS5 Software collecting? Will the data be shared with any third parties? Where will this information be stored? This app does not collect any data. So it will not share data with anyone. Data generated by this software (photos, video, history) will be saved local on your device. We do not have access to your data. See our privacy policy.

3.How do I pay to use CMS5?

CMS5 is free to download and access. The software only work with the IP cameras and NVRs with TCP port = 34567. It might not work with other IP cameras or NVRs.

4.Why does the camera stop running?

Sometimes you see the live camera stop running and the camera is disconnected. You might need to check the power supply of your camera as well as the camera itself. Usually, the camera will make small click sounds 10 seconds after you power it up. If you can’t hear any click sounds, either the power supply or the camera is defective.

5.CMS device manager shows more devices than I have?

If you have the camera with both WiFi and wire connectivity, you might see two IP address in the device manage page. Each network interface will provide one IP address. You can use either of IP address to link to watch your IP camera.

6.How to change the IP address of IP camera and NVRs automatically?

7.Can I record the video to computer?

Only windows 10 version CMS5 support recording feature. The CMS5 will receive the motion detection message from IP camera and start saving the video to the windows PC computer. It doesn’t occupy the CPU resource. The motion detection needs to be done at the cameras end.

8.What is the number counter tag on the top right screen?

When the CMS5 receive the motion detection from IP camera or NVR, it will display on the number counter tag. The count is accumulated. You can click the number to view the motion detection log.
